How It Works
Working Together
Once we’ve been in touch, I can let you know about availability and we can then arrange an initial consultation which is 30 minutes long, free of charge.
I will provide a copy of a simple therapeutic agreement for you to review in advance of our initial consultation. This simply outlines the terms of our working together, particularly around confidentiality and practices of ethics and cancellations.
This initial consultation is not a therapy session, it’s more an opportunity for you to meet me, discuss your intentions for starting therapy and get a sense of what working together in a therapeutic relationship might be like.
Feeling into and understanding what this might look like, and finding out whether the support I offer would be useful to you, is an important step in beginning this process.
It’s also a good opportunity for me to get a clear understanding of what you are looking for and if this is something I am able to support you with.
It’s important to also say, there is no expectation or obligation that you begin therapy with me after this initial free session.
I encourage you to take time to reflect and consider whether you would like to work together. If you would like to go ahead, we can arrange a time and date for our first therapy session together.
Once arranged, sessions are weekly, lasting for 50 minutes, the same time each week.
We can regularly review our work together to ensure that you feel you are getting what you need and we can meet for as many sessions, or for as long as you wish.
