Professional Training
When choosing a therapist, it can help to know who they are. So here’s a little bit about me.

I am my best work – a series of road maps, reports, recipes, doodles, and prayers from the front lines

I’m an experienced and Accredited Member of the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists (UKCP) and have been working with clients for over 10 years. I abide by the UKCP Code of Ethics and Professional Practice (UKCP sets the ethical standards for psychotherapists in the UK).
I am also a Certified Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP), member of The Metanoia Institute, of The Person-Centred Association (TPCA) including a member of the World Association of Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy and Counselling (WAPCEPC).
I trained as a psychotherapist at The Metanoia Institute in London, whilst working with clients for 6yrs with Portsmouth Abuse and Rape Counselling Service (PARCS), Portsmouth College, University of Portsmouth and with those in active addiction with SSJ Portsmouth. In addition to this I also worked alongside the Southern Health NHS at Winchester AMHT (adult mental health team). I also bring 20yrs of personal meditation practice to my work alongside being trained to deliver a secular mindfulness curriculum to children and young people, through Mindful Schools, in California.
I am particularly experienced in working with clients suffering from trauma, rape and sexual assault and relational abuse and systemic and social oppression. I work closely with LGBTQ+ organisers and I work incorporating LGBTQ+* affirmative and anti oppressive practices and approaches in all my work.
I have worked with clients in short-term, medium-term and long-term therapy and have been privileged to work with many diverse clients of different ages, genders, ethnicities, sexualities, abilities/disabilities, nationalities and social-cultural backgrounds as well as those who hold religious beliefs or no belief.
My work is underpinned by regular clinical supervision to ensure I work in the best possible and ethical way as your therapist.
I hold an active DBS certificate, professional indemnity insurance and undertake regular continuing professional development to keep up-to-date with developments and contemporary research in the fields of psychotherapy and counselling.
